Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils

Polychromos colored pencils are part of a unique color-matching system that defines Faber-Castell Art & Graphic Products. Barrels are premium California cedar wood with SV (secure-all) bonding to strengthen the lead and help prevent breakage. 3.8 mm leads are break-resistant, water-resistant, smudgeproof and provide permanent rich color. Each pencil features the highest quality pigments for unsurpassed resistance to fading. Color lays down smooth and is easily blended for layered effects, highlights and transitions. All sets are housed in sturdy metal tins. Pencils are pre-sharpened.

Prismacolor Colored Pencil Sets

Our most popular colored pencils, Prismacolor pencils have thick, soft leads made from brilliant, light-resistant pigments. The colors are easy to blend, slow to wear, and waterproof. Each round wooden pencil is unsharpened and lacquered to match the core. Prismacolor sets are packaged in collectible tins. Blick carries open stock, allowing you to replenish your Prismacolor colored pencils individually. Note — Manual sharpening is recommended for these pencils. Clogging can be prevented in electric sharpeners by periodically sharpening a graphite pencil to keep the blades clean.

Prismacolor Verithin Pencils

These pencils are brilliantly colored and can be sharpened to a very fine point with no crumbling. The firm, insoluble pigments lay down smoothly. Each pencil is hexagonal, and the wood case is color-coded. Pencils are sold unsharpened.

Faber-Castell Red Line Metallic Pencils

Ordinary drawings become extraordinary when children experiment with metallic-color pencils that shimmer and sparkle when they catch the light. Try them on dark shades of paper, and watch how the contrast created makes the metallic colors glow. These pre-sharpened pencils feature smooth, opaque pigments and thick, long-lasting leads that resist cracking. Each barrel is color-coded with a metallic shine that makes the color easy for children to identify. Red Line pencils are also manufactured with an eye on the environment, Faber-Castell's Red Line factory operates its own tree nursery to leave the forest untouched.
